Dundee Symphony Orchestra are about to start an exciting new session and are looking for new players – especially strings, French horns, trombones, and percussion players.

The new website design has been released. The committee wishes to thank Simon for all his hard work maintaining the DSO website for the last few years.
01/10/2010 - New players required
We are looking for new musicians, especially string and percussion players, to join our orchestra. Please contact our secretary at players@dundeesymphonyorchestra.org.uk if you'd like to join.
26/06/2010 - An apology
It has been brought to our attention that we made use of program notes by Richard Freed from Maryland, U.S.A. in our program of June 2007 without his permission. We also edited these notes, again without his permission which altered context and sense of these notes. We would like to apologise for this inexcusable oversight and offer an assurance that any future program notes will be checked to ensure that we are within copyright rules.

DSO welcomes new string players to join us on an open rehearsal on January 11 2010.Vacancies for all string players.

'News' section has been added to the page to accommodates the growing number of new material appearing on the page. From now on only the newest 'news' will show on the main page and the rest will be available here.
20/01/2009 - Handel's Messiah
Handel's Messiah 'from Scratch'. Dundee Symphony Orchestra invites all choirs, choral societies, singers and string players to join for Handel's Messiah 'from Scratch'. The performance will take place on Saturday 14 Febuary 2009, 2-6pm in St Paul's Cathedral in Dundee.
